High power hollow light conductor arrangement

The lighting arrangement includes a hollow, elongated light conductor (1) which comprises a reflection layer over its entire length with the exception of a vertical stripe, the optic crack, or a light conductor which comprises a prismatic surface with longitudinal prisms which provide an internal total reflection. A coupling element includes an optic system (2), as well as a small, spherical microwave sulphur lamp (3) of high power. The lamp comprises no electrodes and includes a transparent safety grille. A lens is freely installed in an area of a direct light output of the lamp, which concentrates the light in direction of an axis of the light conductor, whereby the lamp body lies in the focus of the lens.
