<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device which never increases it's size while increasing the area of an operating body that is exposed through the opening of a housing after reducing the spherical curvature of the operating body. SOLUTION: An operating body 2 is guided by a guide part 9 of a housing so that the body 2 can freely slide along its spherical curvature. At the same time, the tip of an operating shaft 8 of a multidirectional detection switch 4 and an engagement projecting part 8a formed at one of both sides of the body 2 are fit with play into the other engagement recessing part 7a. Then the moving operation of the body 2 is detected by the switch 4 with the interlocking secured to the body 2 and via the rocking of the shaft 8 which is shorter than the curvature radius of outer circumference of the body 2.</p> |
