Process and assembly to manufacture plastic window frames

In the manufacture of plastic window frames, extruded hollow profiled battens are cut to length by a saw and surrendered to a roller conveyer. The lengths are then transferred sideways to a further work station at which they are held still and fitted with a protective metal strip. During this process, the work station may be by-passed by other precut lengths of profiled plastic which are on-passed to a further work station.
