PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to display text data by a display format intended by an editor by adding control codes instructing interdiction processing to a required document code constituting text data. SOLUTION: When text data is edited by an editor, inhibition codes consisting of control codes 'IF21', 'IF22' are arranged on the heads of character codes respectively corresponding to a character inhibiting the display of a line head and a character inhibiting the display of a line end on an optical disk 8. The display position of a corresponding character is changed in accordance with these control codes. Even in the case of variously changing the number of characters in a line by changing the size of a display area in a personal computer e.g. text data can be displayed by a display format intended by the editor. On a reproducing device 1 also, text data can be displayed by a display format intended by the editor. |
