PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain a rush current upon shortening a warming up time. SOLUTION: A heat roll 7 is efficiently and quickly heated to shorten a warming up time by starting to heat the heat roll 7 and keeping a TRIAC 34 on and a TRIAC 32 off to supply a current to two lamps 36, 38 until the surface temperature of the heat roll 7 becomes a reference temperature for restraining the rush current. When the surface temperature of the heat roll 7 has become the reference temperature for restraining the rush current, the TRIAC 32 is turned on so as to supply a current to the lamp 36 only, therefore, the surface temperature of the heat roll 7 can be increased to a temperature that allows to perform a fixing process without wasting energy upon restraining the rush current. |
