The solar collector consists of a supporting housing (10) with a translucent cover (14), containing a heat exchanger (1) made from a hollow ribbed panel of a synthetic material, the ribs (3, 4) forming channels through which a hear transfer fluid can circulate. The ribbed panel is sealed by adhesive or welding in the housing, leaving a gap between it and the translucent cover. The ribbed panel can be made with a single flat surface, the other being provided by the bottom (11) of the housing, or with upper and lower surfaces with ribs between.
