摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a communication system to synchronize with even a long PN series at high speed. SOLUTION: Each of 2k sets of correlation processing sections 50 of a correlation unit applies correlation processing to a sub block consisting of k-sets of symbols of a series extracted from a received signal of a wireless communication system with respect to 2k sets of all realized series consisting of k-sets of binary symbols to generate a corresponding output among 2k sets of the correlation outputs. A selector 52 selects any corresponding output among 2k sets of correlation outputs as a correlation output of the sub block by using the sub block consisting of k-sets of binary symbols in an object PN series with respect to each of N sets of object PN series. An accumulator 54 accumulates the correlation output of the selected sub block with respect to m-sets of sub blocks to generate a correlation result with respect to the correlation block consisting of mk-sets of symbols. Thus, a maximum correlation among N-sets of the correlation results is detected and the candidate PN series causing a result of maximum correlation is specified for PN synchronization.
