<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform editing operation only with easy operation to the utmost by using recognition technique by providing a handwritten input editing system with a handwritten input means, an input identifier and a coordinate information detecting means and a means to store handwritten data by making it into hierarchical structure, etc. SOLUTION: The handwritten data inputted with a handwriting pen 100 is detected by the input identifier and a coordinate detector 130. The detected handwritten data is not recognized as bit map data as a set of pixels but recognized as stroke data the structure of which has a series of connection and stored a handwritten data storage area 162 like the hierarchical structure. The handwritten data is processed as a block of pieces of data by storing it as a stroke. Furthermore, since the block of pieces of data is stored as the hierarchical structure, even pieces of data the physical positions of which are far away are processed as the block of large pieces of data. Therefore, when an editing object is specified by a user, it is specified as the block with certain meanings.</p> |
