<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse in which a cleaning mechanism is incorporated for automatically removing waste attached to a ball or a roller according to its use. SOLUTION: In a mouse 1, a ball 9 is held in case bodies 7 and 8 so as to be freely rotatable, and the ball 9 whose one edge is butted to the planes of the case bodies 7 and 8 is rotated according to the movement on the planes, and a first roller 11 for detecting the lateral moving distances of the case bodies 7 and 8 is rotated according to the lateral rotation of the ball 9, and a second roller 16 for detecting the longitudinal moving distances of the case bodies is rotated according to the longitudinal rotation of the ball 9, and the position on the display screen of a display device is designated. In this case, this mouse is provided with waste removing means 24 and 25 installed at the ball 9 for removing waste attached to the ball 9 according to the rotation of the ball 9.</p> |
