<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transfer rate of the serial data by dividing the data to be transferred into plural blocks and transmitting the data included in the block that is specified by the divided block information to transmit and receive the data. SOLUTION: A communication mode where the data corresponding to the 2nd and 3rd bits are set at 0 and 1 respectively is defined as a block mode. When the data are transferred in the block mode by a transmission controller, the data corresponding to a start bit are set at 1 with the data corresponding to the 2nd and 3rd bits set at 1 respectively. Then the block information showing the blocks to be transferred are divided into plural blocks including the most significant block through the least significant one by means of the 5th and 12th bits. The data on these divided blocks are successively sent every 8 bits in the order of higher ranks, and the data are transmitted and received.</p> |
