PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily collect a character string (keyword) related to multimedia information distributed inside the Internet. SOLUTION: When a user 2 is to retrieve multimedia information, a retrieval service provider 1 presents one or plural pieces of multimedia information to the user 2 as data storage target information 8 out of multimedia information stored on a database and a character string (keyword) 9 expressing the features of the data storage target information 8 is inputted from the entering person 2. Then, the retrieval service provider 1 records the character string inputted by the entering person 2 on the database corresponding to the data storage target information. Besides, the retrieval service provider 1 provides a related character string 20 corresponding to multimedia information 12 and demands charges 21 from a multimedia information provider 3.
