<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device which can transmit image data by utilizing a desirable network without a user's carrying out a complicated operation in a facsimile machine on a transmission side. SOLUTION: A gateway device stores a correspondence table indicating correspondence of destination information indicating a destination of image data to an E-mail address relating to the destination. When a DTMF signal representing the destination information is received from a facsimile machine on a transmission side (S203), the E-mail address corresponding to the destination information represented by the DTMF signal is obtained by referring to the correspondence table (S204). The obtained E-mail address is designated as the designation, to transmit E-mail showing the image data which is a transmission manuscript.</p> |
