PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive force control device for a vehicle capable of suitably reducing a torque step difference generated when shifting from a traveling by the drive force of a motor to that of a started internal combustion engine even in the case that the drive force of the motor is excessively lessened. SOLUTION: This drive force control device for a vehicle is provided with a motor generator 20 as a drive source and an internal combustion engine 10, and is mounted on the vehicle 1 which travels by combining the drive forces of the motor generator 20 and the engine 10 or by selecting either one. In the case of shifting from the traveling by the motor generator's drive force to that by the drive force of the restarted engine 10, when a required fuel injection amount is less than the minimum amount injectable from a fuel injection valve, the number of operating cylinders is reduced to restart the engine 10. The drive force control device sets up this number of operating cylinders at that time based on a ratio of the minimum fuel injection amount to the required one. |
