<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control or prevent hang-up of an airbag at a range in accordance with a pillar section and to promptly deploy the airbag along an window at a range in accordance with other than the pillar section on the airbag device for head protection. SOLUTION: A bag 12 is equipped with a gas induction route 50 and multiple inflation chambers 54. The gas induction route 50 is folded into two and placed outside. The inflation chambers 54 are folded up into concertinas and placed inside. Furthermore, the position of a front upper edge 92 of the gas induction route 50 is set lower than the position of a rear upper edge 94. Accordingly, at the range in accordance with a B pillar, the gas induction route 50 initially inflates toward inside and thus it controls or prevents to hang up at the upper edge of a pillar garnish of the B pillar. At the range in accordance with other than the B pillar, inflation force of the gas induction route 50 toward inside is weakened, and thus the inflation chambers 54 are promptly deployed along the window.</p> |
