LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to improve image quality by reducing a light leakage phenomenon due to nonuniform distribution of heat generated at a backlight. A backlight assembly(400) generates light. An LCD panel, located at an upper part of the backlight assembly, receives the light from the backlight assembly and displays an image by using liquid crystal. Polarization layers(122a,122b) are placed on the surface of the LCD panel. A heat diffusion layer(124) is placed between the polarization layer(122b) and the backlight assembly and thereby diffuses heat generated at the backlight assembly.
