PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device preventing damage of components due to impact by opening and closing operation by easily and surely cutting off electric path of high voltage, even if the opening and closing operation between a movable electrode and a fixed electrode becomes high-speed. SOLUTION: The switching device has a switching part constructed of a fixed electrode and a movable electrode capable of contacting and separating, a movable shaft extended from the movable electrode, and an operating mechanism which drives the movable shaft to its shaft center direction and opens and closes the switching part. A block having a taper face and an elastic body for supporting the block with tape face are installed between the fixed electrode and a fixing plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
