PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distribution system wherein an explainer is capable of starting explanation in a short time after starting sharing of materials and in turning pages even when holding a conference using the shared materials on a network with a number of clients. SOLUTION: Before executing data sharing for sharing materials among a plurality of terminals, a slide data acquisition request for simultaneously acquiring slide data of materials designated by a data prefetch device 5 is transmitted through a data cache device 4 for caching the slide data to a data providing device 3 for accumulating the slide data and sequentially distributing them to user terminals 1, and the prefetched slide data are cached from the data providing device 3 by the data cache device 4. As the slide data acquisition instruction, prefetch of acquisition of slide data for one or more pages contained in the materials may also be instructed in place of all the slide data of the materials before executing data sharing, when starting display of shared materials or when executing page turning operation.
