An image forming device and a data transmitting method thereof are provided to prevent an address list from being displayed to an unauthorized user by managing an address required for transmitting data through user authentication by each user. A storing part(106) stores the address list including the different addresses used for transmitting the data by each user. A controller(104) transmits the data to the address selected from the address list by a data transmission request of an authenticated user after an image forming device authenticates the user. The controller transmits the data to the address inputted from the authenticated user and adds the inputted address to the address list after data transmission. The controller checks whether the number of addresses included in the address list is over a preset number and adds the inputted address to the address list by removing the oldest address in case that the number of addresses included in the address list is over the preset number.
