An artificial fish reef for expanding a fish inhabitation space is provided to enlarge a constant temperature region by repeatedly closing up each partial section of a structural member at regular intervals with a closing plate. The artificial fish reef(100) for expanding a fish inhabitation space is composed of plural base units(110,120) forming a polygonal rim by joining plural horizontal members(111,113,121) to each other and a connecting unit(130) for connecting the base units to each other with spacing a predetermined vertical gap. The horizontal member of the base unit positioned at the lowest end has an open channel of a predetermined shape. The open channel is aligned to face at least one side. Plural first closing plates(114) are attached to the horizontal member of the base unit positioned at the lowest end, to sporadically close up each partial section of the open channel in a longitudinal direction and are protruded downward. The first closing plates function as a leg.
