PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing a snow-melting roof, for easily and inexpensively changing an existing roof into the snow-melting roof, and to provide the snow-melting roof which is constructed by the method and contributes to energy saving and high heat efficiency. SOLUTION: According to the method, a linear heating body is laid on the existing roof coated with a heat insulation material, and thereafter, an upper surface of the existing roof is covered with a protective cover which is the same in shape and color as the existing roof, and has a rear surface thereof coated with carbon powder.
