PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide anα-cyanoacrylate-based adhesive composition which has excellent wet heat resistance and chemical resistance in a broad application such as not only adhesion of iron/iron but also adhesion of a synthetic rubber such as SEBS, EPDM, and a chloroprene rubber and adhesion of different materials such as iron/a synthetic rubber and can prevent the whitening phenomenon by photocuring a squeeze-out portion. SOLUTION: The cyanoacrylate-based adhesive composition comprises (A)α-cyanoacylate, (B) a polyfunctional compound having a (meth)acryloyl group, (C) a peroxide, (D) a metallocene compound of a transition metal in group 8 of the periodic table which has an aromatic electron-based ligand, and (E) an intramolecular cleavage-type photoradical initiator as essential components.
