PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel type working machine whose noise is effectively reduced. SOLUTION: In this wheel type working machine, an upper structure 1 is swingably mounted on a lower structure, and a telescoping boom is derricably disposed at the lateral center part of the upper structure. A cab 3 is installed on the lateral one side of the upper structure. An engine room 4 having generally the same height and lateral width as the cab is formed at the rear of the cab. An intake chamber 5, a heat exchanger 6, a cooling fan 7, an engine 8, and a hydraulic pump 9 are disposed in series in the engine room in this order from the front. The intake chamber is so adapted that outside air is taken therein. Sound absorbing materials 13, 15 are installed on the internal surface of the intake chamber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
