PURPOSE: A lighting system and a method for preventing crimes are provided, which can inform of crime prevention situation by sounding a siren and produce provocative color. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(43) proceeds the illumination function. A crime prevention sensor(41) is installed in the lamp and detects an approaching object. A memory unit(30) stores an execution program for practicing the crime prevention mode. A controller(10) controls sensing of an approaching object by controlling a crime prevention mode conversion according to a selection signal of the crime prevention mode. |
