PURPOSE: An expansion joint is provided to prevent damage to a structure by dispersing a load applied to the structure and to reduce maintenance costs by enabling the replacement of only a damaged part of the structure. CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint comprises an angled part(10), a catch drain(20), and anchors(30). The angled part seals a joint gap and comprises a pair of base plates(12) and a pair of auxiliary plates(14). The auxiliary plates support the bottom of the base plates. The catch drain connects the auxiliary plates and is bent downward to be expandable. The anchors are arranged between the angled part and the catch drain and are inserted into a structure through the angled part. |
