A punch press system is provided to increase endurance of a press and to decrease noise generated during manufacturing processes through active control using a piezoelectric sensor and an MR fluid cylinder. A punch press system comprises a female punch(1), a blank holder(5), a cope(7), a slider(9), a piezo balance block(60), and an electromagnetic actuator(50). The blank holders are installed on a bolster via a plurality of cushion units, out of the female punch. The cope is located at the slider which is positioned over the female punch. The cushion units are MR (Magneto-Rheological) fluid cylinders(3). The piezo balance block is located between the cope and the blank holder to detect holding force between the cope and the blank holder. The electromagnetic actuator outputs electromagnetic signals for each MR fluid cylinder by receiving control signals from a controller. The piezo balance block includes an upper block(61), a lower block(63), and a piezoelectric sensor(65). The upper block is installed at the bottom of a die face of the cope. The lower block is installed to the top of the die face of the blank holder. The piezoelectric sensor is installed at the lower block, facing the upper block.
