ULTRASONIC VIBRATION JOINTING APPARATUS

Intended is to solve the breakage problem of the joint portion between a horn and a vibration transmission rod in the prior art and the problem of the case, in which a tip is attached to the leading end of the vibration transmission rod. Provided is an ultrasonic vibration jointing apparatus, in which a vibration transmission rod (5) having end faces (5a and 5b) acting as vibration and pressure acting faces is formed to have a polygonal axial section. The vibration transmission rod (5) is so mounted on the leading end of a horn (4) as to vibrate integrally. The vibration transmission rod (5) and a mass (8) are made separate so that the mass (8) may push one of protrusions (6 and 7) formed at nodal points in the vibration transmission rod (5).
