PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the large problem that conventional snow melting for a roof is beneficial but uneconomical. SOLUTION: An extremely simple snow melting system for the roof is constituted by positively improving and utilizing an effect of heat conduction from the inside of a house (an attic space 2) to a roof material so that equipment investment can be reduced and the problem can be solved. First, a commercially-available large-sized heater 1 placed in the attic space 2 is used as a heat source. A sheathing roof board 4 is improved as described below to make the generated heat energy efficiently conductive to the roof material 6. A: Openings 7 and 8 are formed for venting. B: A groove 9 is formed between the pair of openings for a convection flow by which the heated air filling the groove 9 is cooled by heat exchange through the openings 7, 8, sinks as the density is increased, and discharged through the lower opening 8. Thus, by turning on the large-sized heater, the convection flow is generated linked to this, so that the heat exchange may be promoted smoothly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
