PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail overturning prevention device capable of preventing a rail from being overturned by a wheel of a train or a tie plate from coming off from a laying surface even if the train derails out of the rail. SOLUTION: Bases R1, R2 of the rail R are supported by a base support part 12A of a block metal fitting 12 secured to the tie plate 11. Even if the train derails from the rail by an earthquake and a rail fastening device is broken by the wheel of the train, the rail is prevented from being overturned by the base support part 12A.
