PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of oil-in water type emulsion which has a long-lastingness of aroma and has good stability in passage of time. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of oil-in water type emulsion comprises (i) the step of preparing an oil phase containing 0.25-7.5 mass% of moisture by mixing a cationic surfactant (A), a perfume (B) and a nonionic surfactant (C) containing 5-40 mass% of water, (ii) the step of forming a liquid crystal by adding a part of aqueous phase to the oil phase obtained at the step (i) and mixing the oil phase and the aqueous phase and (iii) the step of obtaining the oil-in water type emulsion with 300 nm or less of the average particle size by adding the residue of the aqueous phase to the liquid crystal obtained at the step (ii) and mixing the liquid crystal and the aqueous phase to invert the phase.
