<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress uneven illumination, and enhance front face brightness and light utilization efficiency in an optical sheet, a backlight unit using the same, and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A prism sheet 1 converges diffused light from two or more linear regions extending in the form of a stripe in one direction on almost the same plane and mutually separated in the direction crossing at right angles to one direction, and transmits the converged light. The prism sheet includes a base material part 1b installed like a sheet and transmitting light; and two or more prism groups 1a installed on the base material part 1b on the opposite side to a light source 20a which are two or more linear regions, and on the inside of the surface crossing at right angles in one direction, converging diffused light from the light source 20a as almost parallel light advancing along a normal line direction of the base material part 1b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
