The device has a beam shaped central part (8), and two end parts (11, 12) forming a housing for rolling bearings (3, 4). Two intermediate connecting parts (9, 10) are arranged between the central part and end parts. The parts (9, 10) have an upper wall (23) and a lateral wall (24) arranged at an axis of the rolling bearings, and radial walls (25, 26) arranged at sides of the rolling bearings, where the walls define an inner volume (27) for easy access from top and by a side.
