PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more user-friendly toilet seat device. SOLUTION: The toilet seat device includes a toilet lid 10 and a toilet seat 20 attached to the upper surface of a Western style toilet body 1 and turnable between a rising state and a brought-down state. The toilet lid 10 and/or the toilet seat 20 can be turned by a drive unit 31. A first detector 100 for detecting a user H1 near the entrance E of a toilet room R is attached near the entrance E. The toilet seat device includes a storage device 32M for storing the state of use of the toilet seat 20. When the first detector 100 detects the user H1, a controller 32 controls the drive unit 31 so as to turn only the toilet lid 10 to the rising state when the state of use of the toilet seat 20 stored in the storage device 32M is the brought-down state, and controls the drive unit 31 so as to turn the toilet lid 10 and the toilet seat 20 to the rising state when the state of use of the toilet seat 20 stored in the storage device 32M is the rising state.
