<p>The mask for mounting on a motor-block during thermal coating of a cylinder bore (2) subjected in the motor-block (8), comprises a mask reception (3) and a one-way insert that is usable in the mask reception. A coating head is introduced into the cylinder bore through the mask, which is selected on a diameter of the cylinder bore to be coated. The one-way insert is formed as a sheet-metal form part. The mask reception has rotatable bearing surface (6) for bearing at cylinder cover surface (7) in an area spaced from the cylinder bore, and a rotating cavity arranged within the bearing surface. The one-way insert is usable in an interior area of the mask reception or in the cavity. The one-way insert usable in the cavity covers a part exposed by the coating material from the interior surface of the cavity, all interior surfaces of the cavity or under side of the lip. A rotatable collecting area is intended for the reception of the coating material passing during the coating process at the interior area of the one-way insert. The interior area of the mask reception and/or the one-way insert is formed essentially cylindrical and projects itself to the cylinder bore.</p> |
