PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector for batteries which suppresses liquid leakage due to a crack in a sealing gasket and due to creep of an electrolyte. SOLUTION: The current collector for batteries 60 is a member of an alkaline battery 11. The current collector 60 for batteries is provided with: a current collector member 71 made of a conductive metal; and a sealing gasket 81 made of a resin having a hole portion 82a, and is placed so as to seal an opening portion of a bottomed cylindrical positive can for batteries 21. The current collector member 51 is inserted into the hole portion 82a in a non-press-fitted state and is secured in the sealing gasket 81 by a sealing member 87. Between the sealing gasket 81 and the current collector member 71, there exists a clearance.
