PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which can regulate a battery profile by a simple constitution, and has excellent rigidity, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The battery is provided with a battery power generating element covered with a sheet material laminated at least with a base material layer, a metal foil layer, and a thermo-bonding resin layer in this order, a battery body of an approximately flat and rectangular shape which extracts a cathode and an anode to the outside from the battery power generating element and which seals airtightly and houses the end of the sheet material, and a resin molded portion formed on the surface of the battery body.
