PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which creates a digest video with simple operations based on a plurality of video data. SOLUTION: The recorder has reading means for reading video data from a first storage medium, first selection means for selecting a plurality of the video data stored in the storage medium, second selection means for selecting one or more scenes from the plurality of the recorded data selected by the first selection means, and recording means for recording each of the scenes selected by the second selection means from the video data which are read from the first storage medium by the reading means into a second storage medium.
