PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular charging device capable of the total efficiency of generating power while the engine efficiency of an engine and the generation efficiency of a generator is good, and improving fuel economy by reducing fuel consumption required for power generation.SOLUTION: A power generation control portion 15 of an ECU 10 controls an alternator 3 so as to generate power when the total efficiency of the engine efficiency of an engine 2 and the generation efficiency of the alternator 3 is not less than a total efficiency threshold CHG as a first total efficiency threshold or a total efficiency threshold NO_CHG, and controls the alternator 3 so as not to generate power when the total efficiency is less than a total efficiency threshold CHG_OFF as a second total efficiency threshold smaller than the first total efficiency threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
