CONSTITUTION: Fuel cut to interrupt injection of a fuel to an engine 12 is performed during a period (specific period) from a time when a fuel cut condition is satisfied to a time when a combustion injection condition or an idle start condition is satisfied. An exhaust gas discharged from the engine 12 is purified by a catalyst 64 disposed on a muffler 62. An ECU 74 supplies a fuel to the catalyst 64 so that oxygen occluded in the catalyst 64 during the fuel cut is consumed. An amount of the fuel to be supplied to the catalyst 64 is adjusted on the basis of the amount of the exhaust gas discharged from the engine 12 in the specific period, and the outside air temperature.EFFECT: Excessive fuel supply to a catalyst 64 is prevented, and fuel consumption is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
