摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the purification performance of an exhaust gas, to improve filling efficiency, and to prevent the contamination of an engine caused by an EGR gas, in the internal combustion engine having an exhaust emission control device and an EGR device.SOLUTION: A DOC 14 and a DPF 16 are connected to an exhaust system. A DPF case 24 has a diameter-contracted part 29 in which a purified exhaust gas passes, and heat radiation means such as fins 30 are arranged at the diameter-contracted part 29. An EGR passage 19 is connected to a downstream side of the diameter-contracted part 29 out of the exhaust system. Since an EGR gas is taken from a downstream side of the DPF 16, purification performance can be improved by raising a temperature of the DOC 14, particularly, in an early stage, the contamination of an engine caused by a sold component can be prevented, and filling efficiency can be also improved by the lowering of the temperature of the EGR gas. By effectively utilizing the diameter-contracted part 29, the temperature of the exhaust gas can be surely lowered by a simple constitution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
