PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which has a function capable of shifting a focal length range thereof toward the long focal length side by moving some of lens groups thereof, and which offers high optical performance and compactness, and image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises a first zoom system, aperture stop, and second zoom system in order from an object side to an image side. The first zoom system comprises a first lens group that is stationary when zooming and has positive refractive power, a second lens group that moves when zooming and has negative refractive power, and one or more zoom lens groups that move when zooming and have positive composite refractive power. The second zoom system comprises an N1 lens group that is stationary when zooming and has negative refractive power, an N2 lens group that moves when zooming and has negative refractive power, and an N3 lens group having positive refractive power. A focal length range of the entire system is shifted toward the long focal length side by moving the N2 lens group toward the image side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
