PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia control apparatus and an ammonia control method which are capable of continuously controlling an ammonia concentration in a culture solution and performing cultivation.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for controlling a concentration of ammonia in a culture tank by using an ammonia control apparatus comprising at least: an ammonia supplier which supplies ammonia to the culture tank; an ammonia censor which responds to non-dissociative ammonia in culture solution in the culture tank; and a control part connected to the ammonia supplier and the ammonia censor. The method includes: a non-ionized ammonia concentration calculation step to calculate a concentration of non-ionized ammonia in the culture tank by substituting a signal from the ammonia censor executed at the control part into a calibration curve representing a relationship between the concentration of the non-ionized ammonia in the culture tank and the signal from the ammonia censor; and an ammonia supply instruction step to instruct the ammonia supplier to supply the ammonia into the culture tank when the calculated non-ionized ammonia concentration is lower than a predetermined concentration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
