PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch unit having both a function for changing-over a transmission and a shut-off of a driving force in both rotational directions and a function for holding a position of a driven member when the transmission of the driving force is not carried out and capable of easily performing a control for changing-over the transmission and the shut-off of the driving force.SOLUTION: Even if a driving force in any of rotating directions is added from a driving motor 1 to an input gear [input member] 2 through a worm mechanism [inverse input shut-off mechanism] 7, an outer ring 14 integrally rotated with the input gear 2 is locked with an inner ring 15 integrally rotated with an output gear [output member] 3 under an OFF-state of an electromagnetic brake 6, thereby the driving force is transmitted to the inner ring 15 and the output gear 3 and in turn under a state in which the electromagnetic brake 6 is an ON state, a lock releasing piece 18 integral with the brake shaft 5 is stopped, thereby a locked state of the outer ring 14 and the inner ring 15 is released, the outer ring 14 and the input gear 2 freely rotate and a transmission of the driving force is shut off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
