PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which prevents an objectionable Web content from being displayed together with a broadcast program, and to provide a display method and a program.SOLUTION: A receiver for displaying a broadcast program according to a received broadcast signal and a Web content acquires a selection channel or a Web content associated with a broadcast program according to the selection channel, upon receiving a selection channel indicating a selected channel number out of a plurality of channels of a broadcast program. A control unit 15 determines whether or not the Web content thus received is displayed, displays a broadcast program corresponding to the selection channel in a first area, and displays a Web content determined to be displayed in a second area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
