The present invention relates to a method for providing an ARS service and a terminal performing the same, capable of increasing the convenience of the ARS service. The method for providing an ARS service includes: a step of receiving a call request along with an ARS service phone number combined with a specific symbol; a step of receiving information on an application or a web corresponding to the ARS service from a number inquiry server by transmitting the inputted ARS service phone number to the number inquiry server; a step of executing the application or the web using the information received from the number inquiry server; a step of receiving ARS menu information corresponding to the ARS service by being connected to an ARS menu information server through the executed application or web; a step of displaying the received ARS menu information on a screen; a step of storing the number or symbols sequentially selected by a user on the screen on which the ARS menu information is displayed as ARS menu navigation information; and a step of sequentially transmitting DTMF tones corresponding to the stored ARS menu navigation information after being connected to the ARS service system by transmitting a voice call using the inputted ARS service phone number. |
