PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air secondary battery positive electrode which is superior in alkali resistance and oxidation resistance and is lighter in weight than a conventional positive electrode arranged by using nickel powder or nickel particles as conductive material.SOLUTION: A positive electrode according to the invention is a positive electrode of an air secondary battery which uses an alkaline aqueous solution as its electrolyte. The positive electrode comprises: a nickel-coated material including a core material smaller than nickel in density, and a coating layer made of nickel and/or a nickel alloy and covering the core material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
