PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of reducing collision noise generated in clutch switching.SOLUTION: A washing machine comprises a clutch 15 switchable between a spin-drying position where the clutch 15 is fitted to a boss part 31 of a stirring shaft 27 to allow a tub shaft 26 to be connected to the stirring shaft 27 and a washing position where the fitting of the clutch 15 to the boss part 31 is released to separate the tub shaft 26 from the stirring shaft 27. A plurality of fitting recesses 15a and fitting protrusions 15b to be fitted to the boss part 31 are alternately circumferentially provided in a lower end of the clutch 15. A plurality of teeth parts 46 extending in a radial direction and recesses 47 located between the adjacent teeth parts 46, to which the lower end of the clutch 15 is to be fitted, are alternately circumferentially in an upper face part of the boss part 31. The teeth parts 46 each have a through groove 46a penetrating in a circumferential direction, a buffer member 53 is provided in the through groove 46a, and projections 53a projecting from side faces of each of the teeth parts 46 in the circumferential direction are provided at both ends of the buffer member 53. |
