摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image copying apparatus designed such that an insertion part and an ejection part for documents can be disposed in low positions without increasing the length of a document conveyance path and an efficient copying task is ensured. <P>SOLUTION: The image copying apparatus 1 includes: an insertion port 11 for pulling a document inward before it is read; an ejection port 12 for ejecting the document after it is read; and the document conveyance path 13 extending from the insertion port 11 to the ejection port 12. The image copying apparatus copies the image of the document onto a medium. The apparatus 1 further includes movable trays 51 and 52 capable of vertically moving over a range including a document supply position to the insertion port 11, a document receiving position from the ejection port 12, and a bottom area lower than these low positions. At least one of the movable trays 51 and 52 is moved to the bottom area.
