<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which image data for calibration are transferred through a network for reducing a memory for storing the image data, and for preventing omission in correction. <P>SOLUTION: The print server of a design company side system applies ID to color image data (102), and transmits the image data to the print server of a client company side system, and stores the image data (104). In a client company side system, the received color image data are printed (106 to 110), and a print original corrected with red marks is scanned (114, 116), and the print server extracts red characters from the scan data (118), and applies ID to the red character extraction image data (120), and transmits the image data to the print server of the design company side system (122).
