[Also in Division E2] A safety harness for a vehicle user comprises a clothing element or article consisting of at least a plastron A<SP>2</SP> provided at its four corners with four short straps 4 each of which terminates at its free end in a fixing element which detachably connects to a complementary device B permanently disposed in the back of the seat. The fixing element is preferably a ring which is gripped by a bolt or similar withdrawable locking element in the said device, the withdrawable element being connected to an actuating device 26 for withdrawing all the bolts simultaneously. The clothing element is preferably a jacket or a windcheater or may be a plastron covering the whole chest or, as shown, specifically adapted for female wear. |
