A device for drawing weft yarn at a predetermined speed from a supply package 30 for insertion into the shed of a fluid jet shuttleless loom comprises a yarn nipping zone 24 defined by opposed runs of a pair of conveyor belts 17, 18, which diverge to define an angular space 26 for receiving from the nipping zone a length of yarn to be inserted by nozzle 40. The space 26 may be adjusted by varying the position of idle roller 22. The nip roller 20 is mounted on a spring loaded lever 44. In modifications additional rollers (32), (32'), Fig. 4 (not shown) are provided to increase the length of the nip zone. |
